Townhouse – Riverside Dublin

This townhouse is from a boutique riverside development of just nine contemporary homes, three of which are built behind the retained façade of the original period house. The interiors were designed to highlight the period features whilst embracing the entirely new additions at lower ground level, where expansive contemporary glazing leads to a garden right at the riverside. This project was the recipient of an International Design Award 2021 from SBID in the Residential category. Comprising entries from 85 countries worldwide, all category finalists were assessed by panels of leading industry experts who look for outstanding examples of technical content, aesthetic creativity and fit-for-purpose functionality. 

With working from home capabilities now a strong requirement, we included a stylish double office in the open plan ground floor. This is semi shielded from the living space via an angled slat wall. A spacious living area utilises bespoke carpentry to create a TV wall with floating storage, opposite a large elegant sideboard framed fully to the ceiling in solid wood with a textured seagrass backdrop. Accents of green throughout the house reference the natural setting outside.

In the kitchen a smoky grey handle less kitchen with quartz worktops is sleek and stylish. Off the hallway is a monochrome bathroom with feature tiles and geometric wallpaper. The bedrooms are light and elegant, with bespoke headboards and bedding, luxurious carpets and floor length curtains.
